Everything you need to know about the S2U solution

How can I have confidence that solution providers are competent and of good value?

The S2U team individually checks all solution provider’s applications to join the S2U platform. We look for, and exclusively select, solution providers with proven credentials in supporting sustainability ambitions, who are well-regarded by others in the industry.

What if I need help either using the platform or finding the right solution?

For any and all problems you have with the S2U platform, please contact the S2U team via support@s2u.global

Do I have to provide my contact details to solution providers?

No. The S2U platform gives customers the option of choosing not to share their contact details and discussing all aspects of the enquiry on-platform. Further information regarding Data Privacy, please see our S2U LTD Data Privacy Notice and the S2U LTD Terms & Conditions.

What if I am dissatisfied with the level of service provided?

A unique benefit of working through S2U is that payments made for work are held by S2U until both sides confirm successful completion of the work. S2U will also intervene in the cases of disputes and help reach amicable resolution to any difficulties.

Can I pay in alternative currencies?

Not yet, at present, the S2U platform takes payments directly via Stripe sterling (GBP) only. If you have any issues at all with making payments, please contact support@s2u.global.

Can I log in via an alternative means to LinkedIn?

No. At present, the platform bases part of its user verification checks by using LinkedIn.

Can I pay via an alternative method than Stripe (e.g. bank transfer or BACS)?

No. At present, the platform only uses Stripe for payments made on-platform.

I am based internationally; can I source and engage solution providers via the S2U platform?

Yes, subject to S2U LTD Terms & Conditions, all S2U solution providers can be engaged by customers via the platform.

How does the referral scheme work?

The S2U team wants solution providers to share in the success of those it refers to the platform and helps S2U grow. Our referral scheme is discretionary but is based on 2% of any andall work that referees make during the first year being rewarded back to the referrers. If you have any other questions on this, please contact support@s2u.global or read our S2U LTD Terms & Conditions.

Can I chat with customers directly on the platform?

Yes, but only once they have initiated a work request to you. Once this happens, you can chat on the platform, exchange information and documents, and agree to working engagements.

What certainty do I have that customers will pay me?

S2U provides solution providers the ability to require upfront payment by customers for work requests, in the knowledge that these funds are held by S2U until both parties confirm successful completion.

Why should I provide my standard hourly rate?

We want to encourage transparency between the expert solution providers and S2U customers. The standard rate is just one of a number of criteria that customers can use to identify suitable candidates. However, you are free to discuss specific work requests with customers via the chat function (once they have initiated contact) and agree work using a different pricing structure. Keep in mind S2U charges a commission, and this should be factored into your pricing (see below).

What commission is charged by S2U on transactions?

Apart from during advertised promotional periods, the standard platform commission is 17%. Of this, 2% is used by S2U to reward those that refer successful solution providers to the S2U platform.

Can anyone, anywhere be an S2U solution provider?

In theory! As long as you have demonstrable sustainability credentials and pass the S2U solution provider onboarding process, you can work via the S2U platform. If you have any other questions on this, please contact support@s2u.global.
